Season 19 Episode 17 Classes:

12. Ashes & Arrows: I really wish I could say they won me over after an incredible performance a few weeks ago, but they were always unforgettable. Verbally, they were okay but the song was so boring. Will they go on to the end and continue to annoy me? Maybe.

11. Learnmore Jonasi: I was surprised that he was not immediately welcomed into comedy clubs to practice his material. That being said, this performance was not as good as the first two. The content was very hit or miss. The “Lion King” jokes were very funny. He might have a chance to advance to the finale.

10. Alex Sampson: This may sound like a wishful thinking, but this performance was sorely lacking. It felt like something Simon would have criticized harshly in his “American Idol” days. There is only so far that he can take in the competition depending on his looks and existing fans. Oral, it didn’t sound great but at least it wasn’t that good Shawn Mendes this time around in the wardrobe department. The song has potential, but maybe someone like Charlie Puth could he do better lyrically?

9. Kelsey Jane: Unfortunately, this time around Kelsey Jane didn’t bother me as much. His skills are undeniable, but the wow factor was missing for me. The background graphics were great, though. With that being said, the judges were very pleased, and Howie wondered if dentistry would be a path down the road.

8. Reid Wilson: This performance is the perfect example of going from great to boring in a matter of weeks. From the wardrobe to the slow version of a classic, this felt so dated. Ironically, one of the youngest contestants in the competition managed to upset this one for the judges. Honestly, I think if a child singer is going to make it to the finale….it won’t be him.

7. Roni Sagi & Rhythm: After this performance, I think this incredible dog could reach the finale. That being said, the foot placement article blew my mind. Honestly, this might be my favorite performance from them to date based entirely on crowd reaction and social media…..they could beat out the act ranked above them.

6. Young Minor: Having seen some of his performance last time, I wanted to make sure I stayed eagle-eyed this time around. Fortunately for Young-Min, I couldn’t figure out how he did any of that. On the other side of the coin, I also found this to be the least memorable performance so far this season. If I had to guess, he might not have gone through to the finale, but he agreed with Heidi. When you have a super dancing dog, you could be in trouble.

5. Brent Street: Brent Street never fails to blow my mind. This was easily my favorite performance from the group. From the song selection to the choreography, this was like watching a live music video. I could easily see them headlining a show in Vegas. If any act deserves to be in the finale that may not be popular with fans….it’s Brent Street.

4. Pranysqa Mishra: Giving her the best performance of the season with a Panic! at the Disco hit, this young singer blew the roof off the building. This was a great example of how the perfect song can take a contestant from great to even more. The judges were very impressed and with her grandmother in the audience… well that was just icing on the cake. I would be surprised if she didn’t make the finale.

3. Richard Goodall: The best vocal performance of the night came from this singer, whose song choice was unexpectedly brilliant. Is his act a bit dated? Yes, but somehow this makes him cool at the same time. Honestly, I hope he never changes his style or his passion. A few modern songs could help him get more support from younger voters but in the rest of what I think will be a very successful singing career.

2. Elements of Sky: This performance surprised me. Sky Elements keeps getting better and at this rate, it’s a two-horse race for the “AGT” crown between them and the act ranked above them. This is true Las Vegas action and may be the best outdoor act in the show’s history.

1. Cardinal Solange: At the end of the show, Solange Kardinaly showed that she can put together an incredible performance within a week. I’ll never understand how she does this, but I’m really impressed with her this season. She is one of the frontrunners to win easily. I will boldly predict that she will be one of the final three on that stage after a final time.
